The Roshgold Youth Leadership Initiative was incepted during 2023 with the intention of hosting dynamic business leadership workshops on a quarterly basis.
These workshops are designed to cultivate invaluable skills and insights through curated topics, distinguished guest speakers, and comprehensive learning materials. Roshgold, through this endeavour aims to empower the next generation of dynamic leaders.
TARGET MARKET:
The target market for this program comprises socially conscious young business professionals, aged approximately 18 to 40 years old, actively engaged in various industries such as corporate sectors, startups, NGOs and social enterprises.
They are deeply committed to making positive impacts within their communities, aligning their professional pursuits with values of social responsibility.
This group, which includes entrepreneurs continuously seeks opportunities to network, collaborate and learn, all while leveraging their tech-savviness and individual experience to foster meaningful change.
These individuals are lifelong learners who prioritize personal growth. The view their professions as vehicles for driving holistic community betterment.
THE ROSHGOLD YLBD OBJECTIVES:
We aim to provide the following skills and opportunities for Youth Leaders through coordinated workshops, resources and materials shared as well as ongoing group or individual communications and/or discussion.
Skills Development: Equip young participants with essential business and leadership skills such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, decision-making and time management.
Entrepreneurial Mindset: Foster an entrepreneurial mindset among youth. Encouraging them to think creatively, take calculated risks, and explore innovative solutions to real-world problems.
Confidence Building: Provide a platform for youth to develop self-confidence and self-esteem by engaging in group activities, presentations and practical exercises.
Networking: Facilitate opportunities for participants to connect with like-minded peers, mentors, and industry professionals. Help them build a valuable network for future collaborations.
Business Fundamentals: Teach the fundamentals of starting and managing a business, including topics such as: Business Planning, Marketing, Financial Management, and Customer Relations.
Leadership Skills: Cultivate leadership qualities by focusing on topics such as effective communication, motivational skills, conflict resolution and ethical decision-making.
Problem-Solving Abilities: Develop participants’ ability to analyze complex situations, identify challenges and devise effective strategies for overcoming obstacles.
Community Impact: Encourage participants to consider the broader societal impact of their business ideas and initiatives, fostering a sense of social responsibility.
Pitching and Presentation Skills: Train participants to effectively communicate their ideas through persuasive pitches and presentations. A crucial skill for attracting investors, partners and customers.
Inspiration and Motivation: Provide inspirational stories and case studies of successful young entrepreneurs, motivating participants to pursue their passions and turn their ideas into reality.
Global Perspective: Offer insights into global business trends and the interconnected nature of economies. Preparing participants for a dynamic and competitive international business landscape.
Long-term Planning: Encourage participants to think beyond short-term gains and focus on sustainable business models and long-term planning.
Personal Growth: Support holistic development by addressing aspects such as emotional intelligence, stress management and work-life balance.
